“Did someone say ‘knowledge’? That reminds me of a story!” exclaimed a student, rushing past us towards the Three Founders of Kasetsart University Statue. He seems eager to learn, just like the men immortalized in this bronze monument. The Three Founders of Kasetsart University Statue, often adorned with flower vases on the anniversary of the university, pays tribute to the visionaries who laid the foundation for this esteemed institution. Luang Suwan Vajokkasikij, Phra Chuangkasetsinlapakan, and Luang Ingkhasikasikan, these three educators, proposed and tirelessly advocated for the establishment of an agricultural college in Thailand. This vision came to fruition in 1943 when Kasetsart University, Thailand’s first agricultural university, was founded. The university, initially focused on agriculture, fisheries, forestry, and cooperatives, has since blossomed into a multi-disciplinary institution. Just like the nontri tree, a symbol of Kasetsart University, their legacy continues to grow, nurturing countless minds. The next time you see a student rushing to class, remember the Three Founders and their unwavering commitment to education.
