Established in 1970 the Thien Vien Nguyen Thuy stands before you. Its serene presence offers a sanctuary from the bustling city. This isn’t just any temple. It’s a significant hub for the Nguyen Thuy Buddhist tradition in Ho Chi Minh City.
The temple’s history is rich with stories of devotion and perseverance. Initially constructed under the guidance of Hoa Thượng Hộ Tống it faced numerous challenges. Throughout its existence it has undergone five major renovations. Each renovation reflects the evolving needs of the community and the ongoing dedication of its leaders. A new nine-room building was added. This expansion included the impressive Thien Xa. Completed in 2006 the Thien Xa provided much needed space for the growing community. The project cost over 200 million dong.
