Craving comedy or quirky cabaret? Theater Lempenfieber is calling. This small theater resides in Frankfurt’s Berkersheim district. Theater Lempenfieber opened its doors in November 2011. Sabine Koch and Sven Eric Panitz helm the operation. The name “Lempenfieber” tips its hat to the historic apple wine establishment “Zum Lemp.” The theater found its home within the hall of “Zum Lemp”.
Imagine this hall transformed. It can host 85 audience members with full seating. For chanson programs, tables replace rows.
What kind of shows can you expect? Theater Lempenfieber stages its own comedies and cabaret performances. Titles like “Die Frau, die man nach dem Sex abschalten kann” might catch your eye. Or perhaps Sven Eric Panitz’s quirky play “Das Spukhaus an der Nidda” appeals to you. Marc Ermisch’s relationship comedy “Ich bring ihn um!” also features.

Since 2011, Theater Lempenfieber has been performing from September to April. The location is always the hall of the traditional inn “Zum Lemp”. Note the new phone number, if you want to reserve seats. Upon arrival, guests are seated at tables. The “Zum Lemp” serves guests in the hall starting two hours before the show. Order drinks at least fifteen minutes before the performance. This ensures a punctual start. Theater Lempenfieber offers an intimate setting. It combines tradition with contemporary performances.
