Established in 1981, The Open University of Zhuhai has a fascinating history. It’s intertwined with the University of Macau. Originally, The Open University of Zhuhai didn’t exist as a separate entity. The University of Macau, initially the private University of East Asia, underwent a transformation. The former graduate school and open college of the University of East Asia, not included in the government purchase, merged. This merger birthed the East Asia Open College.
