The “King” refers to the King family, who started crafting swing sets back in 1988 in a Pennsylvania barn. Ben King and his sons began this venture, building wooden swing sets with a focus on family fun. Now, Elmer King, Ben’s son, leads the company. He carries on his father’s legacy, expanding their reach into the commercial playground world. The King’s Swings began as a small family business, but their dedication to quality and craftsmanship has helped them grow. They’ve expanded from simple wooden structures to commercial playgrounds built with durable materials like Trex decking, Georgia yellow pine, and stainless steel. Knowing the wear and tear children inflict, King Swings prioritizes sturdy construction. They even encourage adults to join the fun. Their playgrounds are designed to withstand the weight and energy of both children and adults swinging, climbing, and sliding together. Safety is paramount for The King’s Swings. Their playground designs are overseen by certified playground safety inspectors, meeting ASTM standards. The King’s Swings are handcrafted in Strasburg, Pennsylvania, by Amish craftsmen. They’re then delivered and installed nationwide by King Swings’ in-house crews.
