Beneath the unassuming facade of 725 Franklin Avenue exists a beacon of faith. This is The Gospel Tabernacle Church. Since 1984 this annex to the main branch has stood as a testament to community and spiritual growth.

The Gospel Tabernacle Church’s story began long before its Franklin Avenue location. It started in 1972 when Bishop Samuel Green established the church at 1632 Nostrand Avenue in Brooklyn. Called by God, Green grew the church. It soon moved to a larger building at 1513 Nostrand Avenue.

Today The Gospel Tabernacle Church at Franklin Avenue functions as a training center. It prepares lay leaders and pastors for ministry. Many pastors nurtured here now serve in various states.

This church is more than just a place of worship. It is a non-profit organization with a broad reach. The Gospel Tabernacle has four branches in New York and three in Florida. They also have outreaches in the Cayman Islands, Jamaica and St. Lucia.

The Gospel Tabernacle embraces the Pentecostal born-again experience. It is committed to improving the quality of life for residents and congregants. The church extends a warm invitation to all. They are welcome to join Sunday worship sessions or Monday intercessory prayer. Wednesday Bible teaching and the fourth Friday youth fellowship via Zoom are available.
