His studio is located in Dublin’s historic South Georgian Quarter a short walk from St Stephen’s Green. Byrne’s art revives the Impressionist and plein-air traditions. He is renowned for his vibrant palette expressive brushstrokes and masterful contrasts of light and shadow.

Imagine the artist himself on the roof of his studio during the early pandemic. He painted there attracting attention and inspiring local and national media coverage. This experience highlighted his ability to connect with people through his art. His book Turning Corners documents this period. It’s a collection of over 150 paintings created within a 2km radius of his home during lockdown.
