The Bible Church focuses on exalting Jesus Christ. The goal is the edification of His people. The church desires all who gather will gain a greater understanding of the God of the Bible. He created all things. He sustains all things. This understanding should lead to a life of worship. It should display a love for Jesus. This love is shown in obedience to His commands and love for others.
At The Bible Church, services include singing. Times of prayer happen here. Scripture reading is important. Expository preaching is central to the services.
The Bible Church teaches that the Bible’s sixty-six books are God’s written revelation. The church believes the Bible is verbally inspired in every word. This inspiration comes from the Holy Spirit. It is inerrant in the original documents. The Bible is infallible and authoritative. The Bible Church affirms the literal, grammatical-historical interpretation of Scripture. This affirms that Genesis presents creation in six literal days.
The Bible Church teaches the existence of one true God. He is perfect in all His attributes. God exists eternally in three persons. These are the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They are coequal and equally deserving of worship.
The Bible Church believes Jesus Christ is God. He added humanity to His deity. He became the God-man. Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit. He was born of a virgin. Jesus accomplished redemption for believing sinners. This happened through His shed blood. His death on the cross was a sacrifice. Jesus rose bodily from the dead. He ascended to the Father’s right hand. He mediates as our advocate and High Priest.
The Bible Church teaches that salvation comes through Jesus Christ. It consists of the remission of sins. It includes the imputation of Christ’s righteousness. Salvation is God’s gracious gift. It is based on Jesus Christ’s redemptive work. People receive it by faith alone. They must repent and believe.
The Holy Spirit gives spiritual life. He empowers believers. The Holy Spirit baptizes believers into Christ’s body. He indwells, sanctifies and instructs them. He seals them until redemption day.
The Bible Church believes the church consists of all who put their faith in Jesus Christ. He gave His Church the ordinances of baptism and communion. The Church exists to carry on Jesus’ ministry. It advances His kingdom.
Baptism is by immersion. It shows identification with Christ and His church. Communion remembers the Lord’s death until He returns. The Bible Church eagerly anticipates Christ’s return.
