“Ready to elevate your game?” That’s the question echoing around us at the Tennis Academy. This is no ordinary set of courts. The Tennis Academy in Cotai has been a hub for racquet sports since October 2005.

Spanning over 15304 square meters the Tennis Academy is located within a sporting area. The Bowling Centre is next door. The Macao East Asian Games Dome and International Shooting Range are nearby.

For serious tennis fans, the Tennis Academy boasts more than 10 well-maintained courts. Serious racquet time awaits. It costs MOP $30 per hour to play here. You can visit the academy’s website for schedules and pricing.

Macau residents can easily book a court. They need a Sport Easy card. You can book online or at the venue. Public facilities are usually open from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

For aspiring pros, the Macao Tennis Youth Academy is the place to be. The Sports Bureau and the Macau Tennis Association jointly run the academy. Experienced coaches from the Tennis Association teach classes systematically. They take place at Rua de Ténis in Cotai. However, places are limited. The academy trains only the best.

The Tennis Academy held a selection day in 2015. Participants had to complete fitness and tennis skill tests. Qualified coaches assessed potential candidates. The academy provided tennis balls and rackets. Classes ran from January 4 until December 18 in 2016. Each group had eight students. The admission fee was MOP$150.

If you want classes, Ténis Civil has experienced instructors and a restaurant. Prices may be higher for learning and renting a court there. But the Tennis Academy is a great place to start. It is part of a wider range of sporting opportunities. Macau has a bowling alley a kart track nautical centers and even a shooting range.

Whether you’re a seasoned player or just starting the Tennis Academy is a place to improve your game. So grab a racquet, book a court and get ready to experience tennis in Macau.
