Completed in 2012 they represent a harmonious blend of art and architecture. Designed by Hadi Teherani of BRT Architects this stunning pair of towers rises 85 and 75 meters into the sky. They are more than office spaces. Inside you find restaurants a radio station and even the legendary Mojo Club. A club that was previously housed in a demolished bowling alley. The project cost around 180 million euros. A testament to its ambition and vision.
The Tango Towers didn’t just appear overnight. They are the result of a winning architectural design competition. The architects wanted to reflect the energy of St Pauli. They wanted to capture the spirit of this lively district. The result? Two towers that symbolize a couple dancing a passionate tango. They lean towards each other yet also pull apart. This dynamic interplay is both captivating and symbolic of the area’s vibrant life.
Notice the glass and steel facade. It perfectly complements the building’s unique shape. The interior design reflects the exterior’s graceful curves. Open and closed areas create an exciting atmosphere. The balance between calm working spaces and lively social areas is truly remarkable.
The project was built by Ed Zublin AG and Strabag. Strabag now occupies approximately 15000 square meters of office space. Around 500 of their employees work here. They’re a part of this unique architectural landmark.
