The district’s landscape is mostly flat. The average height is only 4 to 5 meters. The highest point is near Tu00e2n Su01a1n Nhu1ea5t International Airport. Here, the elevation reaches 8 to 9 meters.

The population is mainly Kinh or ethnic Vietnamese. Chinese or Hoa people are the second largest group. Smaller groups include Khmer, Tu00e0y, Nu00f9ng and more.

In 1999, over half the population reported no religious affiliation. Catholicism was practiced by nearly 23%. Buddhism followed with almost 20%. Smaller percentages practiced Cao Dai, Protestantism, Islam, and Hoa Hao.

Several airlines have offices in Tu00e2n Bu00ecnh. Pacific Airlines and Vietnam Air Services Company are headquartered here. VietJet Air also has an office in the district.
