One significant project is combating domestic violence. The ministry introduced a bill. It aimed to protect families and prevent violence against women. It passed in March 2012. This bill led to stay-away orders for offenders and safe accommodation for women at risk. The ministry also implemented a panic button system. It provided immediate assistance to women in emergencies.
