The Porters’ Lodge offers 24/7 support. It controls access for non-residents. Laundry facilities are conveniently located on the same floor. Secure post boxes are provided for each resident. Swirles Court officially opened on October 14, 2017. Professor Stephen J Toope, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cambridge, and Professor Susan J Smith, Mistress of Girton College, unveiled a special plaque. The event marked Girton’s pioneering step in establishing a college presence in Eddington.
