That’s the 29th of Syawal, 1425 in the Islamic calendar. Since then, it has woven itself into the fabric of the community.
Surau Al-Falah Danau Kota isn’t just a place for prayer. It’s a hub of learning and connection. The surau has hosted numerous lectures and Quran classes. Imagine the lively discussions during a Maghrib lecture on the “Kitab Penawar Hati” by Ustaz Mejar Amir. Picture a group of girls engrossed in their Quran studies, led by Ustaz Othman Hassan. The surau even hosted a special program for women.
The administration of Surau Al-Falah Danau Kota reflects the community spirit. A dedicated committee was formed in 2008. The first chairman was Tn Hj Rahim bin Said. Other key figures included Naib Pengerusi Tn Hj Zainon Aznan bin Hashim and Setiausaha Tn Hj Muhammat Puzi Ahmat. The committee also included several women, such as Pn Hjh Kamariah Alias, Pn Basiah Hj Din, and Pn Hjh Hawa Awang. These individuals, along with the Imams like Tn Hj Mahadi Kasimin and the Bilals like Tn Hj Wan Salman Wan Ahmad, have ensured the smooth running of the surau. Their dedication has made Surau Al-Falah Danau Kota more than just a building. It has become a symbol of unity and faith.
