Can a church have a vision? Subang Jaya Assembly of God certainly does. It’s a vision of transforming lives and impacting nations. Right here in Subang Jaya, this vibrant community has been making a difference for over four decades. Subang Jaya Assembly of God began as a small cell group meeting in a member’s home, faithfully praying and studying the Word. In 1981, this small group took a leap of faith, holding their first Sunday worship service. The congregation grew steadily, moving from a shop lot in SS14 to larger premises in SS15 as more and more people joined their fellowship. Subang Jaya Assembly of God officially became a sovereign church in 1988 with 22 members. Their journey continued, holding services at the Holiday Villa Subang for seven years before settling in USJ Taipan to accommodate their expanding community. In 1998, they launched separate Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia worship services, demonstrating their commitment to reaching diverse communities. A pivotal moment came in 2001 with the brick-laying ceremony for their very own building in SS13/3C. This marked a new season of growth and fellowship. In 2011, Subang Jaya Assembly of God moved into their current building in SS13/3A. They remain committed to their vision, impacting lives with the love of God. The church believes in the 16 fundamental truths of the Assemblies of God, emphasizing the authority of the Bible, the deity of Jesus Christ, and the transformative power of the Holy Spirit. They see themselves as a missional church, reaching out to the local community and beyond. Subang Jaya Assembly of God continues to thrive, a testament to the power of faith and community. They welcome people from all walks of life to join their growing family.
