“Can you imagine this place buzzing with aspiring teachers?” you might ask if you stood here in the early 20th century. Suan Dusit University, a place rich with history, first began its life as a humble home science school in 1934. Located in the palace of Krom Luang Choomponketudomsak, it sought to empower women with practical skills. Over time, it shifted locations, adopted new names like ‘Phra Nakorn Home Science School’ and ‘Suan Dusit Teacher College’, and expanded its curriculum, reflecting Thailand’s evolving educational landscape. Suan Dusit Teacher College eventually blossomed into a university in 2004 under the Rajabhat University Act. This transformation ushered in an era of broader academic pursuits, encompassing fields beyond education, such as Business Administration and Communication Arts. Today, Suan Dusit University stands as a testament to its rich past, dedicated to educating future generations.
