The plans quickly gained traction and approval. Today this visionary project stands complete. The Roundhouse a state-of-the-art community centre opened in January 2024. It houses a cafe sports hall pharmacy nursery and the local commissioners’ offices.
Strang’s connection to the Manx language is strong. Many place names here reflect this heritage. Even if a place name isn’t originally Manx a Manx translation will always be added to signs. This commitment to preserving the language is heartwarming.
For a bit of active fun head to Cronk Grianagh park. It boasts the island’s only concrete urban skatepark a BMX track and a playground. This is a fun spot for all ages and abilities. The Heritage Trail also briefly passes Strang. This old railway line offers a glimpse into the area’s past and connects Strang to a wider network of trails.
