Can a storehouse truly hold the immeasurable? Let’s talk about the Storehouse Ministry Fellowship in San Antonio. This vibrant place of worship isn’t just about four walls. It’s a testament to faith, resilience, and a pastor’s unwavering dedication. Dr. Betty Vaughn Evans founded Storehouse Ministry Fellowship in 1995 with her then-husband, Robert Evans Sr. Her journey, marked by both prophecy and personal trials, shaped this unique ministry. She was told she’d lead a great people and impact the world for Christ. Dr. Evans assisted several prominent pastors in the San Antonio area before establishing the Storehouse.

The Storehouse Ministry Fellowship isn’t confined to Sunday services. It’s a dynamic force in the community, reaching out to the elderly in nursing homes, prisoners in Bexar County facilities, and children through school supplies drives and tutoring programs. They also serve the homeless with blanket and food drives. The ministry fosters creativity and talent with dance, cheer, and step teams. It equips members with life skills training, health fairs, job fairs, and entrepreneurial training. They even have a men’s mentorship program, providing positive role models for youth.

Storehouse Ministry Fellowship also boasts a dedicated leadership team. Dr. Jo Dee Duncan and Rick Sparks serve as Associate Pastors. Rosalind Clark manages administration and finances. Hope Busby leads the Sunday school. Tasha “Will Preach” Wilson heads the Evangelistic Ministry, while Rochelle and Michael Jefferson direct the youth and music respectively. The team extends to media administration, deacon board leadership, women’s and usher board advisors, facility management, a teacher liaison, a pastor’s secretary, hospitality, missionary work, and even a church nurse. This collective effort embodies the ministry’s belief in working as the body of Christ, being the salt of the world, and achieving victory through faith.

Dr. Evans’s vision, however, extends beyond San Antonio. The ministry, renamed Storehouse Ministries Fellowship International in 2005, has a global reach. They work to free slaves in Sudan and help displaced Jews return to their homeland. Dr. Evans herself travels throughout the US, spreading her message. The ministry’s growth is a testament to its impact. Starting with a small group, it now boasts hundreds of members. A poignant story unfolded just before 9/11. Dr. Evans felt compelled to find a larger facility. The doors opened days before the tragedy, offering solace to a community reeling from shock and grief. The Storehouse was filled even before the first service. It became a sanctuary for the hurt, confused, frightened, and depressed. This is the spirit of Storehouse Ministry Fellowship. It is a place where faith meets action, where community thrives, and where lives are transformed.
