One group huddles around an apple tree, another plays with a dachshund, while two children frame an empty cartouche, a space originally intended for a Tempelhof coat of arms. A fourth group features a child riding a bear, a nod to Berlin’s symbol, accompanied by a girl holding flowers. Legend has it this girl is a portrait of Seger’s own daughter.
