The stands were incredibly close to the pitch creating an electric atmosphere.

Sadly that beloved original was demolished in 2018. But from its ashes rose a phoenix. A magnificent new Steaua Stadium. This one opened in 2021. Again with OFK Belgrade as the opponent. A symbolic continuity. A 6-0 victory for the home team. Bogdan Chipirliu scored the first goal in the new stadium. A moment etched in history.

This modern marvel cost 95 million euros. It boasts a capacity of 31254 spectators. It’s the largest club facility in Bucharest. A fitting tribute to the club’s rich legacy. The stadium is more than just a place to watch matches. It houses a small museum. A treasure trove of Steaua’s glorious history. You’ll see trophies from football and other sports. The club’s achievements in rugby handball athletics and more are showcased here.

The current stadium which replaced the old one is located in the Ghencea neighborhood. It serves as the home for CSA Steaua Bucuresti. The Romanian national football team also plays here occasionally. The stadium’s design while revised from its initial star shape is a symbol of pride for fans. It’s a place where memories are made.
