Sculptor William Behrends masterfully crafted this piece in 2007. It was unveiled just a week before Gwynn’s induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. The inscription on the front reads “Tony Gwynn Mr Padre”. On the back you’ll find a quote from Gwynn’s father “If you work hard good things will happen”.
