Then came the 2017-2018 expansion. A remarkable 16.5 million euro investment. Mecklenburg-Vorpommern contributed the bulk of the funding. The result? An extended main hall. Saal 1 now boasts an impressive capacity of 6600.

The Stadthalle’s expansion also included a significant upgrade to the foyer. Now offering an additional 2000 square meters. It created more space for exhibitions receptions and catering. The improvements ensured accessibility. The Stadthalle Rostock truly transformed.
