Is it possible for a single building to hold a century’s worth of generosity? Here at St. Wilfrid’s Episcopal Church on North Dudley Street, you’d be hard-pressed to think otherwise. St. Wilfrid’s might not have towering spires or stained-glass masterpieces. But its history is a testament to the power of community and compassion. Did you know that for years, St. Wilfrid’s has opened its doors every other Saturday to anyone in need? It’s true. The Open Door Clinic at St. Wilfrid’s has become a lifeline for countless Camden families. Volunteers distribute thousands of pounds of food. They also provide clothing, baby supplies, even holiday toys. This incredible operation, fueled by donations and volunteer power, embodies the very heart of St. Wilfrid’s mission: “Building Hope, Praising God, Serving Our Neighbors.” Every bag of groceries, every warm coat, tells a story of human kindness echoing within these walls.
