Reverend Ezekiel Wright was installed as the first pastor on October 29 1967. Worship services were initially held at Franklin Elementary. It partners with the Oakland County Food Bank and Gleaners of Detroit. Together they alleviate hunger and poverty. Each year the ministry distributes over 200000 pounds of food.

Dedicated members ensure the consistent operation of the Outreach Ministry. Food clothing and personal care products are distributed monthly. Emergency food is also available. Clothing donations are free to clients.
