Established in 1989, St. Mercurius & St. Abraam Coptic Orthodox Church has become a cornerstone of the community in southwest Los Angeles County. That same year, the congregation acquired and renovated a building to serve as their spiritual home. St. Mercurius & St. Abraam has grown and flourished. They even adapted a large hall to accommodate their expanding congregation and services. Leading the spiritual life at St. Mercurius & St. Abraam are several dedicated priests. Hegumen Father Louka Sidarous has served the church since its inception in 1989. Father Kyrillos Wassily joined him in 2001. More recently, Father Angelos Guirges and Father Philopateer Hanna have also become part of the church’s clergy, further enriching the spiritual guidance offered to the community at St. Mercurius & St. Abraam.
