With the support of the Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales his vision took shape.

The foundation stone was laid in 1977 by Shri Sikandar Bhakt. Rt. Rev. Dr. Luciano Storero blessed it. From those early days St. Francis De Sales School was destined for greatness.

St. Francis De Sales School is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education. It offers a comprehensive academic program from grades 1 to 12. Akbar House, Ashoka House, Chanakya House, and Pope Paul House each with its own color compete in various inter-house events throughout the year. St. Francis De Sales School also hosts the Fr. Peter Mermier Football Tournament. Schools from across Delhi participate in this tournament. It promotes sportsmanship and provides a platform for young athletes to showcase their skills. The school also organizes a Cross-Country race to raise social awareness.

Over the years St. Francis De Sales School has been led by a series of dedicated principals. These include Fr. Agnelo Fernandes, Fr. Joseph Pottemmel, and Fr. A. M. Sebastian. Fr. Mathew Thayil, Fr. Joseph T. P., Fr. Jacob Karamakuzhyil, Fr. Melroy Almeida, and Fr. Anil George also served. Currently Fr. Anthony Amaladoss leads the school continuing its tradition of excellence.

The alumni association Sahoday connects former students. It fosters a lifelong bond with the school. Sahoday organizes events and initiatives. It supports the school’s mission.
