Nestled in Teltow, the Ss. Eucharistia Church whispers tales of faith and community. The church, dedicated to the Most Holy Eucharist, stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of the Catholic community in this region. Ss. Eucharistia wasn’t always here. The Catholic community in Kleinmachnow and Stahnsdorf began in the early 20th century, with the influx of Catholic workers during the Teltow Canal construction. Their first mass was held in the Kleinmachnow Schleusenrestaurant in 1935. A temporary church, St. Thomas Morus, was built in Kleinmachnow in 1948, a sign of the community’s resilience. Years later, in 1992, a new church was consecrated in Kleinmachnow at Hohe Kiefer. Then, in 2003, the Catholic parishes of Stahnsdorf, Kleinmachnow, Teltow, and Großbeeren united under the name Sanctissima Eucharistia, creating a shared spiritual home. The Ss. Eucharistia church we see today in Teltow, designed by architect Johannes Reuter, opened its doors in 1957. It serves as a vital part of the Sanctissima Eucharistia parish, alongside St. Thomas Morus in Kleinmachnow. The church holds regular services, offering a place of worship and community for its parishioners. Sunday mass at 9:00 AM, Monday at 8:30 AM, Tuesday at 8:45 AM, and Friday at 6:30 PM. Ss. Eucharistia stands as a symbol of unity and faith for Catholics in Teltow and the surrounding areas.
