This gallery isn’t about closed doors, but about opening up to the world of emerging artists. Originally located on Rue de la Régence, Sorry We’re Closed found its home here, in a 400 square meter private mansion in the Sablon district since 2021. Janssen sought a vibrant hub, a place where art, lifestyle, and community intertwine. The Sablon district, with its blend of traditional antique galleries and contemporary art spaces, proved to be the perfect fit. This neoclassical building itself is a work of art. Constructed in 1872, it boasts a spectacular stairwell, high ceilings, and expansive walls. It’s a space designed to showcase art in all its forms. Sorry We’re Closed represents artists from Belgium and abroad, hosting solo exhibitions, group shows, and unique projects like “Artist Jewels” and exhibitions of vernacular photography. This gallery isn’t just a showroom. It’s a platform for emerging talent, a place where conversations begin, and creativity flourishes.
