No one is too old or too young to live God’s plan. This is SKYLINE – Die Kirche der Stadt. It is the church with a heart in Hannover.
Let me tell you more. The church started as “Christus für Hannover” in 1989. Pastor Hans-Joachim Röhnsch founded it. Fifty members met on Leonardstraße. The church grew. In 1997, they moved to Tillystraße for more space. Another move happened in 2004. They settled at Alte Herrenhäuser Str. 42. This building belonged to the Evangelisch Reformierten Kirche. Johannes and Michaela Ross began leading the church in January 2016. Michaela Ross became a pastor that year. Today, SKYLINE has about 100 active members. Around 70 young people and children also attend. The church celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2019. That year, it changed its name to SKYLINE – Die Kirche der Stadt.
SKYLINE – Die Kirche der Stadt has a mission. This mission focuses on God. It addresses fellow Christians. It looks outward to the world. The church serves and honors God. The church serves believers in the community. It offers encouragement and support. Prayer and care are also important. The church focuses on society too. SKYLINE shares faith in Jesus Christ. This goes together with helping others. They support the poor, sick, and disadvantaged.

They are one team of all ages and nations. Teamwork matters to them. SKYLINE lives generously. They give 100% to what they do. The church changed its name in 2019. This change expanded their vision.
SKYLINE – Die Kirche der Stadt is a bold statement. A skyline marks a city. It shows the highest buildings against the horizon. Skylines make a city recognizable. They shape its appearance. Churches once defined many European skylines. SKYLINE wants faith to shape Hannover again. They want to be the church that changes Hannover. SKYLINE – Die Kirche der Stadt wants to make a difference.
