“Remembered with warmth.” That’s how former owners Björn Areskoug and staff signed off from Sibbarps Saltsjöbad after six fantastic years.

Sibbarps Saltsjöbad. It is more than just a place to take a dip in the Öresund. It is a landmark in the southwestern part of Malmö. Locals also affectionately call it Sibbarps Kallbadhus.

The location of Sibbarps Saltsjöbad is special. It lies south of Ribersborgsstranden. The view includes the impressive Öresund Bridge.

Many people come here to swim. Others relax on the large grassy areas. Malmö’s only camping site is conveniently nearby.

The water temperature is measured right here. However, current technical issues prevent displaying it. Hopefully, this will be resolved before the bathing season starts in May.

Sibbarpsstranden offers variety. There is a camping site. There is also this very kallbadhus. You see the bathing jetties. Large areas invite you to picnics in the sun or shade.

You can enter the water directly from the beach. Alternatively, jump from one of the jetties. To the right of Sibbarps Kallbadhus, near Malmö, there is a small sandy beach. It features sheltered stones in the water. This shallow area is perfect for small children. To the left of the kallbadhus, toward the Öresund Bridge, are more bathing jetties. Large grassy areas are perfect for picnics.

If you are planning to camp, the camping site is closer to the Öresund Bridge. There is a restaurant and a minigolf course there.

During the bathing season, you will find beach and bath attendants here. Their working hours vary. They depend on the time of the season.

There are three free-of-charge toilets. These are open from April to September from 9 am to 9 pm. From October to March, they are open from 9 am to 6 pm. The facilities include disabled access and baby changing facilities.

Please note some regulations. Dogs are not allowed on the beach between March 15 and September 15. This applies even if they are on a leash. They are only allowed on leashes on the walking and cycle path.

You can grill between 9 am and 5 pm. This is only permitted in designated grilling areas. There are fixed grills available. You can also use your own grill. At other times, grilling is allowed outside the grilling areas. Grilling directly on the ground is never permitted.

While the previous owners have moved on, their Facebook and Instagram pages remain. They serve as a reminder of shared moments. Ateljén now manages Sibbarps Kallbadhus. They will also handle the Instagram account.

So, dive into the history. Dive into the refreshing waters. Experience the charm of Sibbarps Saltsjöbad. Let it become your special place too.
