Journey with me to the heart of Dwarka, Sector 7, to the Shriram Mandir. This isn’t just a temple; it’s a vibrant spiritual hub. The Shriram Mandir is nestled behind the Siddharth Kunj Apartments, near the Dada Dev Mandir Mela Ground. This location makes it a central point for devotees and visitors alike. The Shriram Mandir complex houses a multitude of deities. On the ground floor, you’ll find the Sri Ram Darbar, Lord Kameshwar (Shiva in Ling form), Devi Kameshwari, Lord Ganesh, Lord Hanuman, and the Navagraha. Ascend to the first floor, and you’ll encounter Lord Ranganathar (Lord Vishnu in sleeping form). The temple is unique for several reasons. Its Kumbhabhishekam (Pranpratishta) was performed by learned pundits and graced by His Holiness Sankaracharya Sri Sri Jayendra Saraswati Swamigal of Kanchi Kamakotee Peetam on June 4, 2012. Another Kumbhabhishekam, this time for the Noothana Rajagopuram, took place on March 18, 2016, also blessed by His Holiness. The daily rituals and pujas are conducted by priests trained in the Gurukul Vedic tradition at a Veda Patashala in Tamil Nadu. They are well-versed in the scriptures and rituals, ensuring the authenticity of the ceremonies. The Shriram Mandir also hosts special events. Every Saturday, special Archanas are performed for Lord Shani Devta. The first Sunday of each month is marked by Ganapathy Homam and Navagraha Homam. The second Sunday sees Lagunyasa Rudra Japam & Abhishekam for all deities. And on the third Sunday, a special Abhishekam is performed for Lord Ranganathar. This temple offers a rich and diverse spiritual experience, making it a true gem within the bustling city.
