Gongs resonate. The air vibrates with devotion here at Shri Shiv Shakthi Mandir. This Hindu temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Durga. It stands on Kilkori Ring Road in New Delhi.
Shri Shiv Shakthi Mandir’s story begins in 1978. Shri Durga Charananaragi Sant Baba Nagpal Ji founded it. He passed away in 1998. Today, the Shri Adya Katyayani Shaktipeeth Mandir Trust manages it.
Notice the temple’s architecture. It blends South and North Indian styles. Marble is everywhere in its construction. The temple complex spreads across four acres. It includes many smaller temples.
Ahead stands the welcome hall. Shri Ram Darbar, Shri Ganesh Ji, and Mother Katyani Ji have statues here. This is the temple’s grandest space. To the left are temples for Lord Hanuman and Lord Bhairon.
Next comes the Sri Shiva Darbar Temple. Look up. A large bronze idol of Lord Shiva makes this temple special. This temple also holds a Manokamana tree. Devotees come here to make wishes.
Let your eyes sweep the complex. A temple dedicated to Lord Shani Dev is here. On Saturdays, many devotees visit it.
Shri Shiv Shakthi Mandir hosts many events. Religious, cultural, educational, and social rituals happen here. All festivals find celebration at the Shiva Shakti Mandir. Shivratri, Durga Puja, and Navaratri are especially important. Special poojas mark these days. Flowers and lights decorate the temple then.
