Shenzhen Longteng School primarily serves the families of the surrounding residential areas. The architects had a vision. They wanted to create a natural, open teaching environment, a place where learning could flourish beyond the confines of traditional classrooms. Inspired by the classic elements of Chinese architecture – corridors, courtyards, lanes, and platforms – they designed a space that embraces openness and flexibility. Shenzhen Longteng School is a testament to innovative design. The school’s L-shaped layout maximizes space and sunlight, creating intimate courtyards that pulse with the energy of student life. These courtyards aren’t just ground-level spaces. They’re elevated, nestled within a lush green slope, transforming the campus into a vibrant garden. Imagine children learning amidst this verdant landscape. Picture them exploring the network of steps, ramps, alleys, and corridors that connect the various buildings. Shenzhen Longteng School is more than just a collection of classrooms. It was even recognized with the Third Prize of the Public Construction Category of the 9th Architectural Design Award of Guangdong Province in 2019. It also received recognition locally in Shenzhen, receiving The third prize of the third Shenzhen Architectural Creation Award for uncompleted projects & the second prize of construction drawing design in 2017.
