The craftsmanship is breathtaking. The world’s largest hand-knotted carpet lies within the main prayer hall. It measures 5627 square meters. It took around 1200 to 1300 carpet knotters two years to complete it. The weight of this carpet is 35 tons.

Seven massive chandeliers hang from the ceilings. Millions of Swarovski crystals adorn them. The largest chandelier is one of the biggest in any mosque in the world. The mosque also features the largest mosaic marble artwork. It spans 17000 square meters. It is a floral design incorporating traditional Islamic geometric patterns.

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque welcomes nearly six million visitors every year. 85% of those visitors come from outside the UAE. The mosque holds a prestigious place among the world’s top cultural and religious attractions. It regularly wins awards. TripAdvisor has ranked it highly for years.
