Wouldn’t it be incredible to witness a celestial phenomenon mirrored on Earth? Seven Star Park in Guilin offers just that. It is a place where nature and imagination intertwine. The park derives its unique name from seven peaks. These peaks mimic the star pattern of the Big Dipper constellation.

Seven Star Park is located on the east bank of the Li River. It is only 1.5 kilometers from Guilin’s downtown area. This park is not only the largest in the city. It also presents some of Guilin’s most stunning sights.

Since the Sui and Tang Dynasties Seven Star Park has been a popular destination. Key attractions include Flower Bridge and Putuo Mountain. Also Seven Stars Cave and Camel Hill are highlights. Crescent Mountain and Light of China Square add to its allure.

The Flower Bridge marks the park’s main entrance. This elegant arched bridge dates back to the Song Dynasty. It crosses the East River and Lingjian Stream. Each spring and summer flowers bloom here.

Putuo Mountain is central to Seven Star Park. Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva is worshipped here. The mountain boasts caves and pavilions. The Xuanfeng Cave provides natural air conditioning. At the summit are Putuo Stone Forest and Xuanwu Pavilion.

Seven Stars Cave also called Qixia Cave is a must-see. It features diverse stalactites and stalagmites. It’s been a tourist attraction since the Tang Dynasty. Inside the cave the temperature remains a constant 20 degrees Celsius. The cave has three parts including an underground water channel.

Camel Hill is another highlight. It resembles a camel resting among the trees. This unique limestone outcrop is a favorite spot for photos.

The Light of China Square displays stone carvings. These murals show 5000 years of Chinese civilization. The Shi Ji Bao Ding symbolizes peace and prosperity.

Seven Star Park is a treasure trove of natural beauty. It combines mountains and waterways. It attracts locals and tourists year-round. Its blend of history and scenery makes it truly special. The park’s seven peaks emulate the Big Dipper constellation. Four peaks form Putuo Hill and three form Lunar Hill. Seven Star Cave is on Putuo Hill.

The Crescent Hill features calligraphy carvings. Talented calligraphers from the Tang Ming and Qing Dynasties created them. These caves and stones have been attracting visitors for over 1000 years. Seven Star Park remains a captivating destination in Guilin.
