In March 1992 Ms Naseonrye was inaugurated as the first principal. Soon after on March 3 1992 Seryun Middle School welcomed its first students. There were 595 students in total. The school officially opened its doors on April 22 1992 ready to shape young minds.
Fast forward to February 14 1995. Seryun Middle School celebrated its first graduation. A total of 577 students graduated. In 2014 Seryun Middle School was designated as a school. It focused on career exploration education. In January 2019 Seryun Middle School held its 25th graduation ceremony. 176 students graduated. The cumulative number of graduates reached 9314. In January 2023 Seryun Middle School celebrated its 29th graduation ceremony with 156 graduates. In March 2023 Ms Lee Dae-hae took office. She became the 12th principal of Seryun Middle School. New students were welcomed on March 2 2023. There were 119 students. As of 2022 the school has 390 students. There are 50 faculty members.
