Seoul Sinseo Elementary School is a public elementary school. Let’s learn more about its history. The school was established on July 9 1987. At first, there were 36 classes. The first principal took office on August 5 1987. In September of the same year the school comprised 35 classes. There were 1150 boys and 1086 girls for a total of 2236 students. The opening ceremony for Seoul Sinseo Elementary School was held on October 22 1987.

Shin Dong-ho became the second principal on September 1 1991. A broadcasting room opened on October 23 1992. An art room was established on March 2 1993. The school lunch service began on November 16 1995. Kwon Seok-ju became the third principal on March 1 1996. A school operation committee formed on June 4 1996.

Kim Geun-heung became the fourth principal on March 1 1999. The library was renovated on September 11 2001. Jo Cheon-shik became the fifth principal on March 1 2003. In January 2004 a language lab and other rooms were built. The science room was remodeled in August 2004. The library was revitalized in October 2004. The health room was modernized on August 31 2005.

Kim Yong-han became the sixth principal on March 1 2007. The Seoul Sinseo Elementary School gymnasium opened on February 8 2010. Lee Gil-young became the seventh principal on March 1 2011. The Sinseo Orchestra was founded on February 2 2012. The first Sinseo Orchestra regular concert was held on December 12 2012. The library was remodeled on March 15 2013. An anti-bullying group was formed on June 5 2013. A science lab opened on September 2 2013. Additional classrooms were built and completed on December 21 2013.

On March 3 2014 rotating classrooms began. An English classroom and after-school classroom opened on March 25 2014. Han In-taek became the eighth principal on September 1 2014. Facilities for disabled students were installed on January 20 2015. Additional rotating classrooms were created on January 25 2015. On February 15 2016 250 students graduated. That brought the total to 10538 graduates. On February 17 2017 234 students graduated. The total then was 10772 graduates. In March 2017 there were 43 classes. There were 570 boys and 548 girls for a total of 1118 students. Lee Myung-sup became the ninth principal on March 1 2017.

In 2020 Lee Won-sim became the tenth principal. Kim Dong-sup became the eleventh principal on September 1 2023. As of May 1 2023 there were 1084 students. There were 58 faculty members. The school flower is the forsythia. The school tree is the pine.
