Seongbo Management High School is located in Sujeong-gu Seongnam-si Gyeonggi-do. It is a private high school. The school’s history is rich with transformation.
In April 1979, the school was first approved as a corporate body. The name was Oyoon Academy. In February 1980, Principal Kwon Tae-won took office.
A significant shift occurred in November 1993. The school was renamed Seongbo Girls Information Industry High School. This name change reflected a move towards information and technology.
The school became coeducational in September 2004. It admitted both male and female students. In October of the same year the school’s name changed again. It became Seongbo Information High School.
A major transformation happened in June 2011. The school reorganized its departments. These included tax administration enterprise promotion and biomedical welfare. There was also western food and tourism management. At the same time the school adopted its current name. It became Seongbo Management High School. In July 2011 Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education designated it a specialized high school.
Lee Young-bok took office as chairman of the board in June 2014. The school was selected as Gyeonggi-do-type industry customized school. This happened in June 2019. It focused on western cuisine.
In July 2020, the school got approval for department reorganization. These included tax administration visual design and enterprise promotion. There was also healthcare cosmetics western food and tourism management. Kim Jae-young became the 6th principal in April 2021.
In January 2024, 289 students graduated. The total number of graduates reached 24254. These milestones highlight the school’s commitment to progress.
The school offers specialized departments. These include Healthcare Cosmetics Confectionery Baking Visual Design. Students can also study Tax Administration. The school also has Tourism Management Foreign Food Management and e-commerce.
