Traffic will still be able to use the bridge during construction. This will be achieved by maintaining at least two lanes. Pedestrian and bicycle traffic will also be maintained.

The new Sellheimbrücke considers future infrastructure. The planned S75 extension will run from Wartenberg to Karower Kreuz. The Sellheimbrücke station will be part of this project.
