Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Taman Setiawangsa. A school’s name echoed through the years. It started humbly in 1997. The school was handed over to its first principal, Puan Azizah bt. Saad. Imagine those first few days. The buzz of excitement as the first students, all 460 of them, filled 13 classrooms. They were the pioneers of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Taman Setiawangsa. They began their journey on Jalan Bukit Setiawangsa in Kuala Lumpur. Fast forward to 2009. Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Taman Setiawangsa had grown. It now housed 1851 students. A dedicated team of 128 teachers guided them. The school motto, “Beramal, Berilmu, Beriman, Berbakti,” resonates within these walls. It translates to “Charitable, Knowledgeable, Faithful, Dutiful.” These values are the pillars of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Taman Setiawangsa’s educational philosophy. They strive to create well-rounded individuals. The school’s emblem is a visual representation of these values. It symbolizes the aspirations and dreams of the students who pass through its doors.
