Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Seri Keramat. A place of learning and growth, echoing with the laughter and aspirations of countless students. Established in 1994 to alleviate overcrowding at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Lembah Keramat, this school first opened its doors in 1995 as Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Lembah Keramat 2. Imagine the flurry of activity as 182 first-form students, all transferred from Lembah Keramat, began their journey at this new institution. Seven classrooms buzzed with anticipation, one dedicated to Arabic language and religious studies. In June 2003, the school officially became Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Seri Keramat, a name that resonates with the community. The school’s vision, “Quality Education, Educated People, Prosperous Nation,” reflects its commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals. The mission, “Sustaining a Quality Education System to Develop Individual Potential to Fulfill National Inspiration,” guides their efforts. Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Seri Keramat fosters a culture of academic excellence, moral values, and community engagement. In 2009, the school housed 1126 students, a testament to its growing reputation. By 2023, that number shifted to 859 students, with a dedicated team of 64 teachers and 11 staff members. From its inception, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Seri Keramat has emphasized holistic development, encouraging students to embrace their potential. The school motto, “Knowledgeable and Practicing,” encapsulates this philosophy. Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Seri Keramat is more than just a building; it’s a vibrant hub where young minds are shaped and dreams take flight. The school songs, like “Transformasi Seri Keramat” and “Semat Lestari,” capture the spirit of progress and community. They embody the school’s dedication to quality education, personal growth, and national pride.
