Built by Medan Prestasi Sdn Bhd a subsidiary of MK Land Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Damansara Damai stands proudly. This impressive structure cost RM13130000.00. It opened its doors on June 9 2003. That day 135 Form 1 and 52 Form 2 students walked through its gates.
Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Damansara Damai isn’t just a school. It’s a community hub. Located in the Damansara Damai housing estate it quickly became a central point. Its history is one of growth. The number of students has increased year after year. By 2015 there were 1858 students. This required 55 classrooms.
The school’s administration began on January 5 2003. The senior assistant and senior assistant HEM reported to the Petaling Utama Education Office. The first principal En Kamaruddin b Haron arrived on October 1 2003. Ten teachers and three staff members formed the pioneering team. Today the school boasts 124 teachers and 10 support staff.
