Opened on January 2 1999 Sekolah Kebangsaan USJ 2 initially bore a different name. It was known as Sekolah Kebangsaan Serdang Raya. 635 pioneering students filled its classrooms. Encik Imam Maskor bin Sahuji served as the first headmaster. A significant change occurred in April 2002. The school’s name was altered to Sekolah Kebangsaan USJ 2. This reflected its location within the USJ 2 housing estate. The school’s location is central in Subang Jaya. It faces a major highway.
