Established in January 1987 Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Muda initially operated in the afternoons at SRK Kampung Cheras Baru. Only 142 students attended mostly from Kampung Cheras Baru and nearby Taman Muda housing estates. Imagine those early days. A small school with big dreams.
Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Muda’s journey is a testament to growth. In April 1987 the school moved to its current location. Two three-story buildings a canteen housed 18 classrooms a teacher’s room an office and a resource center. The school expanded adding two single-story blocks and a new three-story building by 1995. This provided 12 more classrooms. A computer lab equipped with internet access was added in 1999. This early adoption of technology reflects the school’s forward-thinking approach to education.
By 2009 Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Muda boasted 1245 students 65 teachers. This rapid growth demonstrates the area’s expanding population and increasing demand for education.
