Opened in July 2000 Sekolah Kebangsaan Bandar Baru Sri Damansara 2 stands proudly. It’s nestled on the edge of a hill. Surrounding it are houses. This wasn’t always so. Imagine the bare landscape before construction. The first students arrived in January 2001. They were in years 1 2 3 and 4. There were 360 pupils. Eight teachers guided them. Three senior assistant teachers also helped. Two non-teaching support staff completed the team. The first headmistress was Pn Ainon Marthdiah Binti Ahmad. Dato’ Che’ Khalid Bin Mohd Noh was the first PIBG chairman.
Sekolah Kebangsaan Bandar Baru Sri Damansara 2 gets its name from its location. Bandar Sri Damansara has four other primary schools. This school though holds a unique place. Its emblem tells a story. The school’s progress is remarkable. In 2009 there were 741 students. 387 boys and 354 girls. Forty-four teachers provided instruction. The school continues to thrive.
