Dedicated in 1906 Scotstoun Parish Church boasts a rich history. Originally known as Scotstoun United Free Church it served the Scotstoun area in Glasgow’s west end. The church hall hosted early services before the grand dedication. A significant moment arrived in 1929. The congregation joined the Church of Scotland becoming Scotstoun East Church. This wasn’t the end of its evolution. Later amalgamations with Scotstoun West and Whiteinch shaped its identity. Scotstoun West sadly met a fiery end destroyed by fire and demolished. Whiteinch was repurposed into flats. These events led to the name change to Scotstoun and Whiteinch Parish Church. However the name shifted again. The re-establishment of Whiteinch Parish Church in 2000 resulted in the current name Scotstoun Parish Church. It stands today a testament to resilience and change a beacon in its community. This beautiful church on Earlbank Avenue has witnessed a century of faith. It continues to serve its congregation and the wider community.
