\u0218coala Na\u021bional\u0103 de Studii Politice \u0219i Administrative known as SNSPA was officially established in 1991. However its roots go deeper. It rose from the Faculty of High Political Studies of the University of Bucharest. This transformation marked a new era for political and administrative education in Romania.
SNSPA began as a postgraduate institution. It quickly expanded its offerings. By 1995 it was granting undergraduate degrees in political science. Also public administration communication and public relations became part of the curriculum.
Today \u0218coala Na\u021bional\u0103 de Studii Politice \u0219i Administrative is organized into four faculties. These include Public Administration Communication and Public Relations Political Science and Management. A dedicated department focuses on International Relations and European Integration.
In 2014 SNSPA completed a new building near the Romexpo complex. This modern facility provides students with a great learning environment.

SNSPA can trace its lineage back to the \u0218tefan Gheorghiu Academy. This academy trained leaders of the Romanian Communist Party before 1989. Vasile Sec\u0103re\u0219 a key figure from that era founded the School of High Political Studies in 1990. He then transformed it into the Faculty of High Political Studies at the University of Bucharest. This eventually became SNSPA in 1991. Sec\u0103re\u0219 led the institution as rector until 2004.
