Then in 2009, Kinderwelt Hamburg commissioned a significant renovation. Architect Ulrich Wehde oversaw the project. The old crematorium became Schule Alsterpalais, complete with modern additions. Today, Schule Alsterpalais stands as a testament to transformation. It’s a place where the past and present intertwine. The school shares space with a Kita, creating a unique educational hub. It’s operated by Flachsland Zukunftsschulen gemeinnützige GmbH. This organization is part of Kinderwelt Hamburg.
