“Namaste!” Ever wonder where expatriates and locals alike converge to unlock the secrets of Indian languages? That’s the Zabaan School for Languages. This isn’t just another language school. It’s a vibrant hub where cultures intertwine through the power of language.

Zabaan School for Languages began in August 2009. Two US citizens, Ali Taqi and Christoph Dusenbery, founded it. They had been teaching Hindi in Seattle. They recognized the need for quality language instruction in Delhi. Their initial goal was simple. They wanted to offer Hindi classes to 25 students.

But Zabaan didn’t stop there. It expanded its offerings to include Urdu and Sanskrit. Pashto was added too. The school even provides instruction in reading and writing Nastaliq. This is the Urdu alphabet. The school’s location is easily accessible at 28°33′16″N 77°14′27″E.

What makes Zabaan special? Its diverse student body. Most students are expatriates. They want to learn the local languages of India. Many are learning Hindi for international business. Native professionals attend grammar classes as well. They prepare for the Civil Services exam. Some students want to complement their studies at the Indian Institutes of Technology.

Taqi noticed that interest in Hindi has grown. This matches international interest in India. By 2013, Zabaan had taught over 850 students. This shows its significant impact.

The school addresses a growing demand. More people want to understand Urdu’s use in Bollywood. They also want to appreciate Urdu poetry. Zabaan helps bridge this gap.

Zabaan School for Languages offers more than just language lessons. It provides a cultural experience. It fosters understanding and appreciation for India’s rich linguistic heritage. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced learner, Zabaan has something for you. It is a place where language barriers dissolve. New connections emerge. So step inside. Discover the world of languages that Zabaan has to offer. You might just find your voice in a new tongue.
