Here stands San Vicente Ferrer Parish Church. Have you ever felt the embrace of a community so deeply rooted in faith? This Roman Catholic church in Sambag is dedicated to Vincent Ferrer. Its story began in 1977 when it was established as a parish. The Franciscans took on the responsibility of administering it.

San Vicente Ferrer Parish occupies an entire block. Three of its corners are marked by streets. Its facade is semicircle in shape. The rest of the structure is rectilinear. “San Vicente Ferrer Parish” is proudly displayed at the back of the church. The pediment boasts a church tower in the center. It is flanked by both vertical and horizontal windows. Rectilinear doors offer access to the interiors. Patches of gardens add greenery to the entrance.

Every year, the feast of St. Vincent Ferrer is a highlight. It is celebrated every second Sunday of May. The parish office is open daily. You can visit from 8:00 AM to 12:00 noon. It reopens from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Baptism is a regular event here. It takes place every Sunday. Registration begins at 8:00 AM. A Pre-Jordan Seminar follows at 10:00 AM. The rite of baptism is held at 11:00 AM. Couples preparing for marriage attend Pre-Cana Seminars. These are held every fourth Sunday of the month. The seminars run from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Mass is celebrated throughout the week. On Mondays mass is at 6:00-7:00 AM and 6:00-7:00 PM in Cebuano. Tuesdays offer masses at 6:00-7:00 AM and 6:00-7:00 PM in English. Wednesdays mirror the Monday schedule with Cebuano masses. Thursdays repeat the English mass times of Tuesdays. Fridays go back to Cebuano masses at the same times. Saturdays provide English masses at 6:00-7:00 AM and 6:00-7:00 PM. Sundays have a varied schedule. English mass is at 7:00-8:00 AM. Cebuano mass is at 9:00-10:00 AM. Two English masses conclude the day at 4:30-5:30 PM and 6:00-7:00 PM.
